Thank you, Portland Fire & Rescue

Thanks to the amazing men and women at Portland Fire & Rescue for hosting us for our annual fire awareness field trip. The kids toured the fire station, sprayed the fire hose, and got to meet and talk with real firefighters.

This field trip is always popular with the kids and serves as a great opportunity to discuss fire safety tips. We also get to meet a fully suited-up firefighter to learn that despite their somewhat intimidating look, they are helpers with the equipment necessary to lead us to safety when we need them.
